Master's

So I've been thinking that I should start thinking about continuing my education to get a master's degree.  After all, a master's is the new bachelor's, am I right?
Now I just have to decide what to major in, so I'm asking you.  I'm pretty sure I already know what the results of the poll will be, but I thought I'd see if you have anything more to add, like what KIND of math.  (I hear there are different types...)

  1. My vote? Only go for a MS when you are driven to get it by something deep inside. Follow your loves, Tress. (Do they offer MS degrees in biking and snowboarding?)

  2. That's funny. I know LOL is pretty cliche, and sometimes you wonder, is he REALLY Ling OL? But I want you to know, I LedOL. LOLed? I'm not sure the proper past participle of an acronym. Maybe that's the answer! You could master in English, and your thesis could involve proper treatment of texting acronyms. Unless Kryn already knows the answer.

  3. Is everyone just trying to make devon and I feel like uneducated hayseeds?

  4. It's just that you and Devon have that natural quick wit that some of us have to make up for with degrees.

  5. I also lol'ed. <-- correct usage

I think you should go into taxidermy. It's not as hard to get into as zoology, but I hear it's not too hard to cross over once you're in the department (interested in animal bodies department).

But I actually picked education. It is sort of the family business.

  6. As far as math... do statistics and we can commiserate with each other...:) Actually, I think statistics IS the math for master's degrees... :(

  7. I didn't see a masters in Deaf People, so I voted for the thing that sounded the best (i.e. ended in "ology").
